Bald Eagle Sighting on Carson Beach on Thursday morning

Did you see it?
A bald eagle was spotted in Southie on Thursday morning on Carson Beach. Yes, it’s a little unusual to see the majestic bird in the city, but they have been seen before. This one was chilling along the shoreline.
According to MassWildlife, Massachusetts has a thriving bald eagle population, so it’s not uncommon to see one in Boston.
Grab some binoculars and head down to the beach to go bird watching! Be on the lookout in trees, in the sky and apparently along the water. When flying, the bald eagle rarely flaps its wings, instead soaring with its wings almost completely flat. Its hooked bill, legs, and feet are yellow.
Let us know if you see him! #SouthieEagle
Other wildlife spotted in Southie –a harbor seal sighting. Coyotes, deer, skunks, bunnies, mola mola sunfish, whales, bald eagles, turkeys, swans, snowy owls and a Peregrine falcon spotted in the neighborhood!
