Over the weekend it wasn’t just one swan spotted in the neighborhood – there were actually five swans! Holy Moly!
Erica shared with us this photo (above) of four beautiful swans swimming in Pleasure Bay. There were actually five swans in total – one was off of Castle Island (not in Pleasure Bay) by herself like in the photo on the bottom of the page.

We’ve got coyotes, deer, skunks, mola mola sunfish, whales, bald eagles, turkeys, seals, snowy owls and an elegant swan was spotted off of Castle Island on Sunday – taking a Valentine’s Day cruise.
Every once in a while a beautiful swan will grace South Boston will her presence. Here’s one from back in 2016.
According to World Birds.com, seeing a swan signifies grace, beauty, love, trust, and loyalty. Swan symbolism is also linked to inner beauty and self love.
