Just a teenage whale causing issues for MBTA ferry commuters.

Now, here’s something you don’t see every day.
The MBTA tweeted out this morning to expect minor delays thanks to a juvenile humpback whale in Boston Harbor.
This juvenile whale is no stranger the area. The whale has been spotted in and around Castle Island recently – most likely following a food source. Other humpbacks – adult ones – have been spotted breaching near Deer Island.
See our video below of the teenage whale right off of Castle Island a few weeks ago. Is it the same whale? Probably, but what the hell do we know? If you do see the juvenile whale, stay away and give it space.
