We knew it was only a matter of time. The City of Boston has been cracking down on unsafe parking practices the past few years. First it was the area on East Fourth Street between M & N. Then parking lines and an island (and don’t forget tar island) were added to help with the parking situation in front of the South Boston Post Office.
Now it’s time for the Triangle of Chaos. Everyone has probably driven by the shit show of cars in the area of Emerson/East Fourth streets near K. Without designated parking spots with lines to guide people parking their car, there is no sense of decorum at all. It was cars facing Emerson and cars facing East Fourth. It was cars hanging out into the middle of the street and cars parked in different directions. It was utter chaos. Well, as of Tuesday, you’ll no longer be able to park there at all according to signs posted and friend of CIS Eileen Murphy reported via twitter that flex posts will be installed on Wednesday.
So there you have it! Now more than ever we wish the DCR would reverse their decision to prohibit overnight parking in the new spots along the beach on Day Blvd.

Oh, my gosh! This sounds like a real mess! Here’s hoping that it’s rectified soon.
Why ??? Who do I email to reverse all these decisions … With winter coming , where is everyone going to park ????
I would email Nick Collin’s office. [email protected]
Maybe we can start a campaign to reverser that decision?
This is a City of Boston issue. Your City Councilor would be a better choice, Ed Flynn. His email is [email protected] and phone # 617-635-3203.
I think he was referring to Day Boulevard but I could be wrong!
Whoa!! Is this Tinder?
At least we can still get away with parking in the S&S parking lot to pick up food at Joseph’s. The city needs someone with a lot more common sense dealing with the parking situations around the city.
Last year my landlord requested a handicap parking spot in front of her home. The city got lazy and instead of installing two steel posts for the parking restriction they utilized a street light pole, you could park a short bus in this space instead of having room for a non handicap spot.
