Boston’s favorite plant-based restaurant is giving everyone another reason to start the week with a smile. Beginning Monday, July 21, Lulu Green in South Boston will now be open on Mondays from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. for lunch and dinner—and to celebrate, they’re giving away FREE ice cream! Free scoops from 12 to 2 pm and Free Mini Sundaes throughout dinner service. Fresh off Lulu Green’s second back-to-back Boston magazine award as the city’s “Best Vegan Restaurant”, owner Mary Lattouf is celebrating her new hours with an Ice Cream Social + Summer Cocktail Party on Monday, July 21 at 246 West Broadway in South Boston. On Monday, from 12 to 2 p.m., swing by for free scoops of ice cream from FoMu! Celebrate Sullivan’s Castle Island

Big news for one of Southie’s most beloved institutions—Sullivan’s Castle Island has officially been named a 2025 James Beard America’s Classics Award winner! The legendary neighborhood spot was honored in Chicago this June with one of the most prestigious awards in the food world. This award isn’t just about the menu—it’s about heart, heritage, and hometown pride. The James Beard Foundation describes their America’s Classics winners as “regional restaurants beloved in their communities for quality food, local character, and timeless appeal.” And what’s a big win without a big celebration? Actually, two of them! Sullivan’s has teamed up with their neighbors at Castle Island Brewing to launch a brand-new limited-edition raspberry-lime lager called Rickey Business—a fizzy, fun nod to Sully’s signature summertime drink.   You can get all the details here!

Shy Bird Industry Night

On Monday, July 21st, Shy Bird is hosting their first ever Industry Night starting at 4pm.  Gifts will be given to the first 50 friends, plus oysters, disposable cameras, special snacks and maybe even a rotisserie chicken luge!
