Here are some fun movie nights and programs to participate in this summer!  For the outdoor movies, don’t forget a beach chair or blanket to sit on!

Castle Island Movie Nights

Enjoy Free Family Flicks on Wednesday nights at sundown at the back of Fort Independence at Castle Island.

July 23 – Beetlejuice (1:32)

Mayor Wu’s Neighborhood Movie Night!

The Park’s Movie Nights are part of the Boston Parks and Recreation Department’s ParkARTS program. Held in August, the shows begin at dusk.

The series is hosted by the Boston Parks and Recreation Department and title sponsor Bank of America with additional support from the Mayor’s Office of Tourism, Sports, and Entertainment.

Free popcorn will be provided while supplies last.

Movies will have the closed captions visible on-screen where available.

Movie Night at Fenway Park

Fenway Park Events announced today that “Movie Night at Fenway Park,” presented by Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, will take place on Thursday, July 31, featuring the 2003 holiday favorite, Elf. Movie Night at Fenway Park is an opportunity for families to enjoy a blockbuster film at the ballpark on a summer evening. Prior to the ticketed screening of Elf, families are invited to enjoy a holiday themed celebration in the Gate A concourse that will include festive photo ops and fun surprises. Fans are encouraged to wear their favorite jolly attire. Concessions will be available.

Tickets for Movie Night are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Children ages 2 and under may attend for free. Fans can purchase movie tickets at redsox.com/movienight. The event is free for Red Sox Season Ticket Holders. Mastercard is the preferred payment method of Fenway Park Events.

To ensure the best viewing on the 40 by 100-foot videoboard, fans in attendance will be seated in the lower seating bowl down the first base line. Fenway Park gates will open at 6:15 p.m. and the movie will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Outdoor Movies at Hood Park

Hood Park in Charlestown is hosting weekly movie nights!  Free popcorn, candy and beverages will be available while supplies last. Bring a blanket and settle back for a night under the stars. There is no entry fee, everything is FREE. Family friendly and furry pal friendly too.

Movies start at sun down, games and music will be available prior to the start, so come early!

  • 3-HR Free Parking in the Parking Garage at 100 Hood Park Drive
  • Bluebikes and bike racks on site, and a short walk from Sullivan Station Orange Line
