The Return of the Shamrock Pub

The Shamrock Pub will reopen its doors on Friday, January 14th. Back in October we reported, that the 7 day Common Victualler/All Beverage License was transferred to a new owner with the City of Boston. After some much needed renovations – including a refresh to the exterior of the building, the legendary old school Southie pub located at the corner of H and 8th will be back in business! Make sure to follow them on Instagram for the latest news! 

B Together starts on Saturday

Citing the rising surge of COVID-19 cases and the urgent need to increase vaccination to safeguard the community this winter, Mayor Michelle Wu announced B Together, an initiative to require vaccination in certain indoor spaces in Boston, including indoor dining, fitness, and entertainment establishments. All people ages 12+must show proof of 1st dose of vaccination starting January 15th. You can can get more details here!

Last Hurrah Brunch at Coppersmith

Sunday will be Coppersmith’s final day open in South Boston. Opening at 10am Sunday, the Southie favorite will be showing the NFL Playoffs on its projection screens and also be reviving a signature throwback brunch item for the weekend: Hangover Tots with peppercorn gravy and chorizo. The restaurant and bar first opened in late-2015 and with its building being repurposed, this is their final sendoff.

City Tap Hosts Betty White Tribute Brunch

This Monday holiday brunch marks what would have been Betty White’s 100th birthday. The Fort Point hotspot will be serving up specials like Golden Waffles, Golden Glitter Mimosas and – as a nod to Betty’s favorite F&B combo – vodka and hotdogs where guests who purchase a vodka will be treated to a complimentary hotdog.
