Coppersmith is closing in January…for real…
BOSTON (December 14, 2021) – Coppersmith – the popular bar, restaurant, rooftop and event space in South Boston – will close its doors for good on Sunday, January 16.
Originally slated to shutter in January of 2020 with the building housing Coppersmith being repurposed as a new development, Coppersmith was able to extend its run after the transition was delayed. Coppersmith – which first opened in late-2015 – has been a celebrated Southie staple for the past six years most notably known for its rooftop bar, industrial-style interior complete with projection screen TVs and food trucks, as well as for serving the community through its chartable efforts.
“We’ve been fortunate to remain open for much of these past two years, which was unexpected and a blessing,” says Sheila Senat, longtime General Manager. “It gave us the opportunity to spend a couple more trips around the sun with our amazing guests, who have become like family, and for our beloved team to retain employment during an incredibly difficult time in the hospitality industry. It is bittersweet to finally say goodbye, but the happy memories of Coppersmith will live on for so many.”
Through January 16, Coppersmith will continue to operate weekly from Wednesday-Sunday serving drinks, their signature “all day” menu and weekend brunch. Coppersmith also will host a special New Year’s Eve event and will be accepting bookings for private events and gatherings by emailing [email protected].
New Year’s Night in Vegas Celebration
Coppersmith will be spending their final New Year’s Eve with a “Night in Vegas” themed event. The Southie hotspot is going out in style and featuring a “best dressed” content, specialty cocktails and games. There also will be an ice luge and a photo booth to capture your final night of 2021. When the ball drops, enjoy a complimentary glass of champagne while decked out in party favors. Remember: What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Tickets are $65 and can be purchased here!
Coppersmith is located at 40 W 3rd Street in South Boston. For more information, please visit: https://www.coppersmithboston.com/.
