Snap Benefits Have Paused – Here’s how you can help

As many families across Boston face cuts or a pause in their SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program)benefits, it’s more important than ever for our community to step up. South Boston has always taken care of its own, and there are plenty of ways—big and small—to make sure no one goes hungry this season. The Boston Planning Department is hosting a virtual community meeting to discuss a project at 460 West Broadway on Wednesday, November 5th from 6pm-8pm. The proposed Project includes the adaptive re-use of vacant former bank building, with a commercial addition, up to six stories; new occupancy to include courtroom and offices/support space for use by the Trial Court of Commonwealth; with 20 garage parking spaces for court and residential use. The purpose of the meeting is to provide an update to the design of the proposed project. The meeting will include a presentation followed by questions and comments from the public.
