Space Saver Vandalism in City Point – South Boston

Come on, we’re better than this!
A South Boston resident had his Jeep Compass vandalized overnight. Around 8pm on Thursday he moved a space saver near the corner of O and 5th and woke up on Friday to find his car with its tire slashed.
A photo was posted on social media:
Technically, the use of space savers ended on Wednesday at 6am. Not to mention, there was a lot of melting on Thursday and there was no need for space savers.
The car owner did file a report with C-6 BPD. If you saw anything or have a nest cam in that neighborhood, you’re encouraged to reach out to BPD – 617-343-4730.
We’re better than this! It’s situations like this one that will get space savers banned for good in the City of Boston. That is the reason we have Unofficial Rules for Saving a Spot after a Snow Storm.

There were space savers out everywhere still and made it hard to find parking yesterday.
Agree – I saw them but I also saw people moving them. There was no need for a space saver on Thursday.
I would never move a space saver even if I wanted to but that destruction is uncalled for no matter what. Noone know what’s going on in people’s lives
Need official space saver removal authority service.
