You can take the Mayor outta Boston, but you can’t take the Boston outta the Mayor!
This morning during his Senate Confirmation Hearing to become US Labor Secretary, Mayor Marty Walsh was asked by Senator Roger Marshall (R-Kansas) about the cost of living in Boston and where he got his last cup of coffee in Boston.
The mayor’s response? “Probably Doughboy Donuts and was about $1.75.”
Doughboy Donuts is located at 220 Dorchester Ave and has been in business for over 40 years. Back in 2017, the property was sold to a developer but as of today, the wildly popular coffee shop is still standing.
