No one likes someone who parks like a jerk in Southie – and this note says so.

Be considerate of your neighbors when parking.
We all know finding a parking spot in Southie is “challenging,” to say the least. So often in the neighborhood, people take to writing harshly worded notes to fellow residents who aren’t doing a great job parking – whether it’s deliberate or clueless. It’s a tale as old as time in South Boston. Check out this classic.
This typed and printed note was spotted on East Sixth Street between M and N. There were no mincing words with the salutation. The author of the letter is pissed.
Special thank you to jj_wise who sent it to us!
And another sign on P Street was sent to us by Katie Marshman – thanks, Katie!
And another one – this one is just gross….found on East Sixth between N and O.
We’re noticing a pattern here. All of these notes are from City Point.

I think that the comma (,) should be before f#$%, not after.
I didn’t realize that “the rest of decent society” had an appointed spokesperson . It gives me great comfort that we do.
A pebble in the valve stem goes a long way , just saying 🤪
I hate these selfish parkers and understand the anger. But what is the best solution? Damage to the car would feel good for a minute, but that’s not the answer. Expensive tickets might motivate better behavior? This drives me nuts
I don’t want to contribute to the madness, but,
Three strong guys and a girl with grit could lift the offending car out into the street, kind of Helter skelter, so then it would surely get ticketed…
As teenagers we put a small Honda on the sidewalk,.. even the adults were laughing.
Good luck up there in my old home town !!
Put white lines on street indicating spots
My father-in-law, a true Southie Native, paints his own lines on East 7th Street. Been doing so for years. Believe it or not, 99% percent abide by it. It works great! East 7th between M&N including Peters and Monks Street. I love it!
If people don’t abide, they do get a preprinted letter on the windshield. The letters are very cordial, not like the ones from above, but sometimes you can’t blame people for their frustration. Especially if they are habitual offenders.
A $4.00 can of spray paint goes a long way.
In this situation regardless of the Season perhaps its time to begin reconsidering how we addressed such situations in the OLD DAYS (1950’s, 1960’s and 1970’s). It was very effective and people did not EVER do that again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Justyn, in the 50’s 60’s and 70’s this was NEVER an issue. There were plenty of parking spots.
