BPD Community Alert: Detectives Seek Public’s Assistance in Efforts to Identify Individual in Relation to an Aggravated Assault in South Boston

The Boston Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in efforts to identify the individual shown in the accompanying images as it relates to an ongoing aggravated assault investigation in South Boston.
The facts and circumstances surrounding the initial incident are as follows:
At about 12:30 AM on Saturday, May 9, 2026, officers assigned to District C-6 (South Boston) responded to a radio call for a removal in the area of 425 West Broadway Street (Lincoln) in South Boston.
Upon arrival, officers spoke to the victim who stated he was involved in an altercation in which he was struck in the head with a beer bottle. The victim stated an unknown male approached the victim and his girlfriend and began to verbally accost them. The victim stated he approached the male and after a verbal altercation, the parties separated.
The victim stated the unknown male continued to make lewd gestures toward his girlfriend which caused a physical altercation to take place in which the victim was struck in the head with a beer bottle. The unknown male fled the area prior to officers’ arrival.
The unknown male is described as a white male, approximately 5’9” to 5’10” in height, between the ages of twenty-six and thirty years old, with dark hair and a beard.

Detectives assigned to District C-6 (South Boston) are actively investigating the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Anyone with information is strongly urged to contact District C-6 Detectives at (617) 343-4742.
