Eat:
Loco lovers rejoice!  Loco is embracing summer with their new summer hours!  Monday-Thursday they’ll be opening an hour early at 4pm and Fridays Loco will open for lunch at 11:30am and you can enjoy all the deliciousness of their menu including tacos, guacamole and more!!   On Friday, June 2nd they’re celebrating with RUM PUNCH LUNCH featuring watermelon and pineapple punch bowls. No judgement if you call out of work. Bring on the sunshine!

Drink:
Trillium Brewing Company has partnered up with the Rose Kennedy Greenway to bring you Trillium Garden – a new beer garden on the Greenway!  Enjoy 8 beers on tap and 3 types of wine on the brick patio across from he Rowes Wharf Arch!  We’ll drink to that!

Play:
Speaking of Rose Kennedy Greenway, the much anticipated zipline ride is officially open to the public.  Enjoy rides daily at 11am. $8 a ride and $15 for two!  #RidetheZ

Swing:
The Lawn on D will be in full swing (get it? They have those illuminated swings!) On Friday at the, stop by and play in their weekly cornhole tournament beginning at 6:30pm.  Enjoy live music with Unity – a large scale dance band that’s sure to get up on your feet!  Cash bar and food options too!

See:
Pulitzer prize winning playwright David Lindsay-Abaire grew up in Southie and his hometown has had a great influence on his work.  His play, Good People is about a down-on-her-luck single Southie mom Margie Walsh and tells the story of fate and the choices we make.  South Boston is the backdrop and the subject of class and poverty is front and center in this character driven play about normal people trying to live the best life they can.  Well, Lindsay-Abaire has a new play about to debut at the Huntington Theatre – Ripcord.  Ripcord plays May 26 – June 25 at the Calderwood Pavilion at the BCA, 527 Tremont St. in Boston.

Family Fun:
Looking for some good old-fashioned family fun?  The MOMS Club of South Boston will be hosting a Southie Family Fun Day on Saturday, June 3rd from 11am – 4pm at Marine Park.  There will be bouncy houses, DJ Jim, Toe Jam Puppet Band, Music with Sarah Gardner, Woods School of Dance, Ms.Linda’s school of Dance, 4th Presbyterian Theatre, Bonaparte the magician.   For more information visit their website!   Also on deck, face painting, arts and crafts, & more! This event is free and open to the public.

Ride:

A special birthday Mass will be held on Sunday, June 4th in memory of Stephanie “Lovey” Uftring.  The Mass will take place at 10:30am at St. Monica’s.  We miss you Lovey!
