Veterans Day in the Neighborhood
Thank you, Veterans!
Originally known as Armistice Day to honor the living veterans of World War I, Veterans Day has transformed into a holiday celebrating all who have served and are serving their country. Here are some things happening in the neighborhood to celebrate. Check back as this list may be updated!

Enjoy a cruise to Peddocks Island, followed by guided tours of historic Fort Andrews, reflections on service, and fun self-guided activities for all ages. Light snacks and warm beverages will also be provided, but we encourage visitors to plan accordingly by either bringing lunch from home or purchasing food aboard the ferry. This ferry takes place on Saturday, November 9th from 11am-3pm and is free for veterans. Learn more here.

Lace-up those sneakers and run or walk the DAV 5K at Castle Island on Monday, November 11th. Cheer on the runners around Castle Island! Volunteers also wanted! You can learn more here!
