It’s National Picnic Day on Saturday!  We say, bust out the blanket, pack some food and drink and eat outdoors!  From the food to the gear, we’re doling out a few helpful tips to make sure your open-air feast is, well, a picnic!  Here’s our guide!

Lincoln Tavern has a new cocktail on their menu – introducing the Raspberry Lemonade – a delicious concoction of bourbon, raspberry, lemon, mint  and we hear it’s crazy good! We say sip one this weekend in the open windows at Lincoln and enjoy the spring.  The scene on West Broadway will be enough entertainment alone! Price: $10 We’re getting thirsty already!

Shop:
It’s officially sunglasses weather so why not treat you to a new pair!  Wink Eyewear has an awesome collection of Ray Bans in stock and Ku De Ta just got a new shipment of Quay sunnies in variety of happy colors!

Run:
It’s perfect running weather and we have a quick guide to running in Southie!  Lace up those sneakers and hit the road!Ride:
Go for a bike ride! Whether you’re a hardcore bike rider or just a casual cruiser, Southie Cycles – a new riding club –  might just be for you!   Started by Southie residents and bike enthusiasts Steve and Laura Bowden,  Southie Cycles is a free riding club for bicycle riders of all levels. The idea is to ride with the group or lead a ride yourself.  Go to www.southiecycles.com to check out the next ride, or add a ride to the schedule yourself!  Sounds like fun and healthy way to meet your Southie neighbors!
