SMILF  – the Showtime series about a lovable yet completely fucked up single mother from Southie – has earned two Golden Globe nominations.  If you recall, SMILF was in Southie and Dorchester over the past few months shooting scenes.

The first episode of SMILF aired in November and was quickly picked up for a second season. (Fingers crossed they stop referring to her as “a Southie” in social media post in the future.)  The show itself was nominated for Best Television Series (Comedy) and Best Television Performance by an Actress (Comedy or Musical) for creator and actor Frankie Shaw.
