Showtime coming to Southie – Traffic/Parking Restrictions
Be on the lookout for film crews – and Rosie O’Donnell – on Monday, October 30th and Tuesday, October 31st near Joseph’s Bakery at K and Fourth. The new Showtime series starring Frankie Shaw based on her short film SMILF will be filming from 10am-3pm. Back in November, crews were shooting the pilot for Showtime. In May, it was announced that 10 episodes of the half hour comedy was ordered for the first season which is slated to air in the fall. Joseph’s Bakery will be open during all the hoopla.
Be aware of parking restrictions and street closures. Signs will be posted.
You can checkout a sneak peek of the series here. You can see some shots of the neighborhood!
SMILF has also been shooting some exterior shots in Dorchester because Southie isn’t “Southie” enough.
