Yo! Sushi has closed
Yet another restaurant in the Seaport District has closed its door! According to Boston Restaurant Talk, Yo! Sushi at the Watermark Seaport tower has closed after two years in business. A simple note on the door announced that the restaurant closed. It reads:
“It is with regret that we are announcing that due to some recent changes, Yo! Sushi has had to close.”
Yo! Sushi joins the list of recent closed restaurants including 75 On Courthouse Square, Salvatore’s and La Casa de Pedro.
We’re hoping this isn’t a sign of things to come for businesses in the Seaport District.
The Whiskey Priest and Atlantic Beer Garden also closed to make way for a new development.
…and the revolving door that is the South Boston Waterfront / Southie retail scene continues to turn.
Really hoping shredded is next, the biggest sham on Broadway, hands down. Even the countless nail salons that are clear money laundering fronts are more genuine than that fraud of an eatery.
Also, Backyard Betty’s needs to make some adjustments. They’re teetering on the edge of a successful business. Change your hours, brunch is where the money is these days.
It’s possible Whitey’s might have higher sales than Backyard Betty’s in October. I don’t think they’re going to make it to their 1 year anniversary :(
Went to Backyard Betty’s when they first opened. I left underwhelmed and haven’t returned. Service was ok, food was mediocre & overpriced for what it is. Atmosphere on a Friday night was meh.
Betty’s is often quiet on weeknights as I pass by on my commute home. I live around the corner and could easily go in favor of other neighborhood spots, but still find myself walking a few more blocks, returning to my faves in the area.
True Shredded needs to have a major overhaul…way overpriced for such mediocre salads….Cava would be great!
