Hook + Line Closes its doors only 14 months after opening them in Seaport
Hook + Line, the local seafood spot in the Seaport, announced on Thursday that it would be closing its doors. H+ L Market is also closed.
Restaurateur and Hook + Line owner Tom Schlesinger-Guidelli announced via press release that the seafood spot served its last meal on January 1st.
“I am proud of our team and of the hospitality we shared at both Hook + Line and H + L Market,” Schlesinger-Guidelli said. “It is no secret the thin line that restaurants walk with profitability, and even though we have created a beautiful and well-received restaurant, bar and market, it just isn’t sustainable for us to continue.”

Thanks for featuring the IG piece. It’s a catch 22 for the Seaport and the city overall.
Sorry to see it go, good was good but over priced for everyday dinners. Was more of a business expense account place.
I think the market was too simple and the restaurant too elaborate with very small and pricey dishes that always missed the mark. The “take out” market wasn’t memorable, always took forever for a simple sandwich that cost 20 dollars. All the take out salads, etc, where never fresh looking and every other item for sale was nothing you’d need. The one time I went to a big sit down dinner there, there were all sorts of problems in the kitchen, it took two hours to get food, and my diabetic brother almost had a medical episode. Plus the noise was off the charts and kids were running around screaming inside and out. Tables are crammed in to every aisle, concrete floors and open kitchen added to the noise. It was kind of “fancy dining” prices but a fast food atmosphere. I hope whatever opens there makes good use of the amazing patio space.
Ya , Ditto that Heather No surprise they bailed
