There are five official candidates including City Councilor-at-Large Michelle Wu, City Councilor Andrea Campbell City Councilor-at-Large Annissa Essaibi George, Jon Santiago and John Barros.

Mayor Walsh is expected to be confirmed as the new US Labor Secretary any day now. When he leaves, City Council President Kim Janey will be acting Mayor of Boston. She will be the first Black Bostonian and woman to serve in this role!
