All aboard the Sushi train!  Yo! Sushi is opening this week!  International restaurant group YO! Sushi is officially opening this week!  This wildly popular sushi spot  will feature the signature “kaiten” sushi bar that keeps the sushi coming via conveyor belt that runs throughout the restaurant! The 2,225-square foot location in the Seaport District will seat 65 guests and have over 90 dishes, including traditional sushi, fresh salads, hot dishes, and Japanese desserts!  YO! Sushi is located directly next to Shake Shack on Seaport Blvd. We can’t wait!

Be informed.  Get involved.  It’s going down for real!  After much pleading and local pols feeling our pain, the MBTA will now officially host a bus stop and bus route improvement meeting on Wednesday October 26th at 6pm at the Tynan School – 650 East Fourth Street. Need a good laugh?  After the MBTA bus meeting you might need one.  Head to the Seapoint on Wednesday, October 26th at 8pm for a comedy night!  Your host is Chris Kinback and will featuring some hilarious local comics like Dan Boulger and Matt Kona – 9 comedians in total! And guess what?  The show is free!  So really, you have no excuse to not head out for a night of fun!  Must be 21+ to attend! For more information visit here! 

Mix it up!  Come mix and mingle with your friends and neighbors at the Playwright on Thursday, October 27th from 6pm-8pm for the Run, Southie Run SBCA Jingle Bell Road Race volunteer/runner drive! Enjoy delicious appetizers, one complimentary drink ticket and learn about how you can participate in this fun road race for an amazing school – South Boston Catholic Academy! Bow wow wow! Southie dog owners rejoice! Massport just announced the grand opening of a new dog park on East First Street (Between M and O).  This top of the line quarter acre park is complete with park benches, pet fountain, doggie exercise equipment surrounded by beautiful landscaped grounds. The official opening will take place on Thursday, October 27th at 10:30am.  Bring your pooch!

Vote early! If you have your mind made up and can’t wait to cast your vote for president then you can now vote early! You just have to be a registered voter and unlike traditional polling, you don’t have to vote at your assigned polling location. Vote at the location that is most convenient for you. All ballot styles will be available at every early voting location. If you plan to vote early, you have from October 24th until November 4th at 5pm.   You can vote at the Condon School in Southie on Saturday, October 29th.
