Order up a Blue Eyed Boy at Local 149 and help support Colin’s Joy Project!  This organization does amazing work in the South Boston community like enhancing play spaces and funding family-focused programming. So, make sure to order a Blue Eyed Boy next time you’re at Local 149 to help spread more of Colin’s Joy. $3 from every cocktail sold goes directly to Colin’s Joy Project! Blue Eyed Boy is made with vodka, muddled blueberries, watermelon puree, and lemon in a short glass over ice.

Pick some apples

We know this year has been strange and stressful to say the least. With fall upon us, activities like picking apples, wandering through corn mazes, and purchasing pumpkins can still be a thing as long as social distancing and face masks are part of the plan. Venture out of Southie and pick yourself a bushel and peck of farm fresh apples. Make sure to check check all orchard’s websites for up to date safety info, restrictions etc. Some require reservations so double check before you head out!  Check out our roundup here! 

It’s Oktoberfest at Dorchester Brewing Co.

Dorchester Brewing Co. is hosting an Oktoberfest celebration from Saturday, September 26th through Saturday, October 3rd! However, it may look a little bit different this year. The tap room will continue with socially distanced seating with contactless ordering but will also be offering DBco Fest Bier lager, limited edition glassware, a special Oktoberfest food menu from M&M BBQ, live music and a decorated Beer Hall that makes you feel as though you were in Munich! PS Show up in authentic German gear (Lederhosen or Dirndl) and get a very special prize!

Cupcake Mojo is open

Cupcake Mojo is officially open!  It’s located at The Current at 100 Seaport Blvd. In addition to amazing cupcakes in flavors like Nana’s Whoopie, Lemon, Carrot, Vanilla Coconut and more, Cupcake Mojo also has dessert in a jar called Mojars – layers of cake, whip cream, topping, and more! Rooftop Yoga to benefit the Ollie

Enjoy a 60 minute yoga class on Sunday at 9:30 on the Coppersmith rooftop taught by Orla O’Brien!  Not only will you get a great workout, you’ll be helping out the South Boston Neighborhood House!  Class is $20 and is suitable for all levels.  100% of proceeds go to the South Boston Neighborhood House. You can register here! Please bring your own mat or towel. Mats will be placed a minimum of six feet apart. You must wear a mask to/from class and only remove it when you are safely on your own mat. Treat yourself to brunch post class at Coppersmith at 11am!
