Petula’s Lunch
Petula’s will be open for lunch starting Friday, Oct. 6th. Lunch will be 11:30am-3pm Monday to Friday. This will be a perfect time to try out the newest addition to Southie. The food and drink never disappoint.
23rd Annual South Boston Street Festival
The street festival will be held on Saturday, Oct. 7th from 11 to 4pm. The event takes over East Broadway from L to I Street. Shop local businesses, vendors, and restaurants. Plus, live entertainment and more. It is perfect for all ages. To learn more, visit here!
Fall Block Party at The LOT
On the Dot is hosting a block party on Saturday, Oct. 7th from 12-6PM. The event is free and open for all ages. There will be food trucks, shopping, games, and face painting. Beer and wine will be provided. Get the details here!
Education First Beer Tasting and Silent Auction at Harpoon
Join Harpoon in raising awareness and funds for Education First. Education First is an organization that provides low-income youth college scholarships and coaching here in Boston. Their Boston high school partners are Brockton, Brighton, and City on a Hill. There will be unlimited beer tastings and awesome prizes for auction. Get tickets and more info here!
Castle Island Fall Fest
Join Castle Island Brewery in a fall celebration on Sunday, Oct. 8th from 12-4pm. The event will have apple cider doughnuts from Black Bird, local vendors, a pumpkin patch, games, and drink specials. Get more info here!

Dumpling Class at Mei Mei Dumpling Factory
Learn how to make dumplings at Mei Mei! The class is a two hour hands on class in folding and cooking delicious dumplings. The class price includes the teaching, food and drink, dumplings to take home, and a recipe card. The classes are being held Saturday Oct. 7th from 6:30 to 8:30pm and Sunday Oct. 8th from 1:30 to 3:30pm. Get tickets here!
Seaport x Black Owned Boston
Join Black owned Boston for the last Seaport x Black Owned Bos. Outdoor Market on Sunday Oct. 8th from 12-6pm. The Market will have 30+ local black owned businesses, pumpkin painting, and food and wine. The event will be held in Seaport Common. The market is free and family-friendly.
Bowl + Brunch at Kings Dining + Entertainment
Kicking off this Sunday and continuing every Sunday thereafter, family and friends are invited to Kings Dining and Entertainment for a brunch and bowl special, available from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Guests who order from the brunch menu will receive discounted bowling and free bowling for a friend on the same day! Free Admission to Local Museums
Spend Monday Oct. 9th, exploring the ICA, and Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum for FREE in honor of Indigenous People Day. See below for restrictions etc.
- MFA: Tickets are available in person on a first-come, first-served basis for those with a valid Mass. zip code.
- ICA: You must order tickets ahead of time on Oct. 8.
- ISGM: You must order tickets ahead of time (max two tickets per person).
Last Call for Thompson Island and George’s Island for Public Access
On Saturday or Sunday, take a ferry over to Thompson Island and explore the beach and conservation area. The ferry leaves at 9 am and returns to the mainland at 1pm. Round trip is 10$. Get tickets here! George’s Island is also offering a 5$ for their last trip of the season. The ferry departs at 10am and 12pm and returns to Boston at 1:45 and 3:45pm. Get tickets here!
