Return of Seaport Summer Market + New Shops at The Current

The Boston Seaport is the place to be this summer with the return of its open-air Seaport Summer Market. The market will offer a wide array of products from a mix of nearly 130 vendors – the majority of which are women and minority–owned and local. This year, the market will also feature an expanded line up of seasonal dining options. Also in the neighborhood, Boston’s first retail incubator The Current will introduce a roster of exciting new brands as part of its 12th season.  You can get the full details here. 

Take the Mei Mei Dumpling Challenge

To celebrate AAPI Heritage Month, Mei Mei is doing a “Dumpling Disloyalty” campaign where, if you prove that you’ve purchased dumplings from eight Asian-owned restaurants in Massachusetts, you’ll get a prize! What kind of prize?  You’ll get an order of free Mei Mei dumpling in a very special “Boston Runs on Dumplin” mug! Southie Saturday Run Club with MySTRYDE

Join MyStryde every Saturday at 8:30am from the South Boston studio for a 6-mile loop. Think you won’t have runners in your pace group? Think again! To make sure they support all levels and paces, they’re providing FIVE different pace groups (7/8 min per mile, 8/9 min per mile, 9/10 min per mile, 10/11 min per mile, and 11/12 min per mile) lead by our new run club pacers. Register for the Boston Waterfront 5K

The Boston Waterfront 5K is Boston’s most unique 5K course with over a mile of running along the water, a fantastic post-race celebration with music, a beer garden, pizza, and more. This fun event takes place on Saturday, June 4th at 10am!  You can register here. 

New to the Neighborhood – Grace by Nia

The alluring, modern-day supper club at Grace by Nia puts a new twist on the timeless charm and the decadent aesthetic of supper clubs from a bygone era. Menu highlights include innovative takes on Southern classics such as gumbo ceviche, green tomato salad, Maryland hot crab dip, country fried chicken and carrot cake waffles, and specialty lobster dishes. Guests can expect an exciting weekend brunch full of shareable cocktails, cold brews on tap, and a playful menu featuring praline beignets, piri piri shrimp and unicorn grits, red velvet pancakes, and candied pepper bacon. Get ready to bounce, toss and roll

Project Paulie, a community-focused organization dedicated to bringing people together through food and culture and a recurring tenant of the retail incubator The Current, expands its partnership with Boston Seaport to announce the launch of its newest venture – The Project Paulie Bocce Club. The activation will feature three outdoor bocce lanes and a clubhouse filled with exclusive Project Paulie Bocce Club merchandise, available only in-person at the Clubhouse. A portion of the proceeds from bocce lane reservations will be donated to Project Bread, supporting their fight against hunger and initiatives to make healthy food accessible to people of all ages. Beginning May 13 until August 13, 2023, the Clubhouse of The Project Paulie Bocce Club will feature green-and-white striped decor throughout and green neon-lit bocce lanes that add a monochromatic flair. Visitors can book one of two reservations-only lanes, or walk-up for a game on the one non-reservations lane. There will be staff and rules onsite to help guide visitors who are new to bocce.  You can learn more here.
