National Ice Cream Day

Sunday is National Ice Cream Day so have some ice cream in Southie! Here’s our roundup of places to enjoy ice cream in the neighborhood!

Outdoor Movie Night

Hub Church Boston is hosting an outdoor movie night on July Saturday, July 20th. Grab a blanket and head down to M St Beach at dusk for a showing of the new Nickelodeon children’s movie – Wonder Park. Jurassic Park is playing outdoors at the Boston Harbor Hotel on Friday.

Live Music

Alec MacGillivray will be performing on Sunday from 6pm-9pm at The Broadway. The Playwright has Country Sundays with Annie Brobst. The Supper Club at Capo always features rotating live music Friday & Saturday and on Sundays it’s their legendary Sinatra Sunday featuring Rich DiMare and the Ron Poster Trio.

Live Outdoor Music

Enjoy a free outdoor concert from 6pm-8pm on Saturday featuring the Fort Point Ramblers. This fun and free event will also feature lawn games, face paint and more! Brought to you by Boston Harbor Now.

Mommy & Me Yoga

Eastside Yoga & Fitness is hosting their first ever Mommy & Me Yoga Social on Friday, July 19th from 4:30pm-6pm.  Taught by Mary Kelleher a RYT Yoga & Kindergarten teacher, this 45 minute yoga class will be followed by a 45 minute art project so moms can socialize and enjoy snacks!  Cost is $40 and you can sign up here!

Dorchester Brewing Co. is turning 3

Dorchester Brewing Co. has been turning out delicious craft beer in the neighborhood for three years! DBCO will be celebrating on Saturday, July 20th with a day long event of fun, food, live music, and of course, beer! The fun goes from 11:30am-11pm. There is no cover charge! With a new expansion on the way, let’s celebrate how far DBCO has come and how much fun they’ve added to our neighborhood! You can check out the lineup here! 

Get Creative

Fort Point Theatre Channel invites children and families to dance, paint, and create in the open air on Saturday mornings in July along Fort Point Channel! Each week, Dabble! Doodle! Dance! features music by guest musicians, painting experiences with guest visual artists, and a “doodle wall” equipped with washable
markers. The fun takes place Waterfront Plaza @Atlantic Wharf – 290 Congress St.,
The activities take place along the grassy area near Smith & Wollensky. No registration necessary.
