Treat yourself to some fresh flowers and do a little shopping on Friday, July 12th at 4pm at Market Floral Studio. Elli Parr Jewelry and Sunny Dorsey Artwork will be popping up!  Stop by!

Game, Set, Match

Lincoln is hosting a Wimbledon themed Brunch Test Kitchen on Friday. Wimbledon will be on the screens and you can enjoy British/Wimbledon themed dishes! Wearing white optional.

Hot Diggity Dogs and Bumping Burgers

Head to the Mary Ellen McCormack Housing Development for the first of three Hot Diggity Dog and Bumping Burger Night on Friday, July 12th from 5pm-7pm  Mix and mingle with friends and neighbors and enjoy some hot dogs and hamburgers!  The event is sponsored by WinnCompanies, Mayor Marty Walsh, Boston Police Commissioner William Gross, Boston City Councilors Frank Baker, Timothy McCarthy, Ed Flynn, Annissa Essaibi-George, Michael Flaherty, Andrea Campbell, and in collaboration with, South Boston En Accion, The Tenant Task Force, and A John’s John.  This series is the brainchild of Mary Ellen McCormack resident Nita Holder who mom of a 7-year-old and completing her Master’s degree in Public Administration at Northeastern University.  Way to go, Nita! 

Flow with a View

Enjoy Summer Rooftop Yoga with Jenna Hill this Sunday at 9am.  Meet on top of the Envoy Hotel’s Lookout Rooftop around 8:30am for checkin.  Don’t forget to bring your mat and some water!  You can register here!

Check out the new exhibition Less Is a Bore: Maximalist Art & Design at the ICA. Bringing together works in painting, sculpture, ceramic, dance, furniture design, and more that privilege decoration, pattern, and maximalism. If you love color & texture, you’ll love this exhibition!

Pizza!  Pizza!

The Boston Pizza Festival is back and better than ever for their 3rd annual festival, with tickets officially on sale now! On Saturday, July 13th and Sunday, July 14th, 30 of the best pizzerias in the region along with a few from Naples, Italy return to Boston’s City Hall Plaza. New England’s largest consumer pizza event will also feature live music and entertainment, a children’s pizza tossing station, pizza acrobats and other live demonstrations.  Get your tickets here!

Take a yoga class with Annie Cheevers at the Curley Community Center. She teaches every Friday at 4pm. Bring your mat and some water.

Take a Tour

Check out Fort Independence at Castle Island! The Castle Island Association (CIA) has been giving free guided tours of Fort Independence on Castle Island for over thirty years. Enjoy a tour every Saturday, Sunday, and on national holidays through the summer from noon till 3:30pm. You can also enjoy a sunset tour on Thursday at 6pm. Treat yourself to a hot dog or ice cream at Sullivan’s while you’re there!
