Kentucky Derby at Coppersmith

Opening at 10am on Saturday, Coppersmith will be doing the Derby thing all day indoors, on their expanded ground-level patio area and the famous rooftop that features a vintage Airstream trailer. Derby attire is encouraged at this socially-distant soiree; indoor reservations are available and outdoor seating is first come, first served. Coppersmith will be screening the “greatest two minutes in sports” and serving up some Derby-themed specials:

  • Kentucky Fried Chicken Bucket with corn, mashed potatoes, a biscuit and cole slaw ($21)
  • Mint Juleps ($12)

Let’s do some shopping

Heading into spring, Boston Seaport announces its latest collection of shops, all opening at The Current between May 1st and May 5th. Two new Boston companies, Myoli Bay, a sustainable swimwear line made from recycled plastic water bottles, and Love Child, which merges florals and cocktail-making-supplies, will make their debut at The Current, alongside Studs, a New York City based ear piercing and ear accessories studio who selected Seaport for its first ever pop-up. A local thread continues to run deep – Injeanius, which opened this Fall, 2020 remains part of the shopping experience, and Booty by Brabants will return for its fifth Seaport pop-up. Most shops will remain open through mid-August. Shops will be open seven days a week, Monday to Friday from 11am – 7pm, and Saturday and Sundays from 12pm – 6pm. Sunday Snack Specials at Fat Baby

Fat Baby now has Sunday Snack specials. Enjoy $1 fried dumplings (pork or veg), wings for fifty cents each and pairs of hot chicken sliders for $12 (for two). Pairs well with Mai Tais in the sunshine on their beautiful patio!

MyStryde Roof Top Classes

MyStryde’s full outdoor schedule officially starts May 1st!  Sign ups are live for Saturdays 9am and 10am for a Power X full body classes on the downtown roof deck (They provide weights at mats). You can sign up for virtual or in-person!

City Winery Opens May 1st

City Winery on the Greenway will open on Saturday, May 1 on Dewey Square – across from South Station. Enjoy locally crafted whites, reds and rosés in this outdoor wine garden! They will also be serving craft beer and hard cider from Harpoon.

New Hours + Brunch Menu for Lulu Green

Lulu Green – Southie’s favorite plant-based fast-casual restaurant on West Broadway is now open Tuesday-Sunday 9am-8pm and has some new brunch items for you to try like The Brunch Sandwich with Chickpea Egg, Tofu Bacon, Potato Pancake, Marinated Kale and Avocado, Tahini, Hot Sauce, House-made Simit Bun!
