Celebrate! Happy 15th Anniversary, Nurture Salon and Spa! Raise a glass and toast Nurture for keeping Southie gorgeous for all these years! Help them celebrate on Thursday, October 6th at 6pm! Stop by and congratulate them!

Brunch Battle! Participate in some good old fashioned eating and drinking as local brunch hot spots duke it out for the coveted title of Brunch Champion!  Lulu’s, The Living Room, The Tap Trailhouse, Hops Test Kitchen & Raw Bar
Tico, and Row 34 will be sampling some of their best brunch items and you get to eat them and then vote for your favorite! Proceeds from this battle will benefit Community Servings, a local nonprofit that provides meals to individuals & families who are homebound with an acute life-threatening illness. So not only is is delicious but it’s good for our community too! Brunch Battle is sponsored by the boozy brunch buddies at Tito’s Handmade Vodka & La Marca Prosecco. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased here!

Vote early! If you have your mind made up and can’t wait to cast your vote for president then you can now vote early! You just have to be a registered voter and unlike traditional polling, you don’t have to vote at your assigned polling location. Vote at the location that is most convenient for you. All ballot styles will be available at every early voting location. If you plan to vote early, you have from October 24th until November 4th at 5pm.  If you haven’t registered to vote, you have until October 19 to register to vote for the November 8 election.

Save the Date! Come mix and mingle with your friends and neighbors at the Playwright on Thursday, October 27th from 6pm-8pm for the Run, Southie Run SBCA Jingle Bell Road Race volunteer/runner drive! Enjoy delicious appetizers, one free drink ticket and learn about how you can participate in this fun road race for an amazing school – South Boston Catholic Academy! Tickets are $15. There will be raffles, giveaways and more!

Southie Turns Pink! Some South Boston businesses are joining forces for the Ellie Fund’s Do Good campaign. Be on the lookout for “pink” specials, deals, drinks, and fitness classes throughout our neighborhood for the month of October. A portion of the sales will be donated directly to the Ellie Fund – a local non-profit dedicated to providing critical services including childcare, grocery shopping and meal deliveries to patients with breast cancer and their families. On Thursday October 13th from 6pm-8:00pm sip and shop your way around South Boston boutiques for special shopping night! 20% of all sales will go to the Ellie Fund! Roza Lyons will be mixing up their delicious Kandy Rose cocktails will proceeds going to the Ellie Fund too!
