Week of October 30th
Big ball bowling is coming our way! Kings Dining & Entertainment will open on October 30th at 6 p.m. on the Southie waterfront aka The Seaport District. The new Kings features 20,000 square feet of fun at 60 Seaport Boulevard complete with 16 lanes of big ball bowling, a “bar-Kade” filled with video games, pool tables, foosball a giant four-man air hockey table, shuffle board, and hoops! There’s also the Draft Room which features three giant TV screens and more than 40 beers on draft – perfect spot for watching the game. To celebrate their landmark opening, Kings will be giving away free bowling for a year (2 games and shoe rental each calendar month) to the first 250 people through their doors on opening day. Subject to change seasonally, Kings Seaport will be open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.; Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.; and Sunday from 11 a.m. to midnight. Trick or treat! Smell my feet! Beware of little ghosts and goblins (and their parents) roaming the streets in search for Halloween candy. East and West Broadway will be filled with trick or treaters on Tuesday, October 31st from 4pm-6pm picking up candy from local businesses and residences. So be warned! This event is free and is hosted by the members of the South Boston Chamber of Commerce.
Everything toasted with cream cheese! Do you love bagels? Well, Better Bagels Boston is now open in the Seaport District! Offering bagels and bagel sandwiches, this New York style bagel shop is located at at 83 Seaport Boulevard. To see their menu visit here!
Watch where you park! If you live in the neighborhood of K and East Fourth/East Fifth – look for signs! SMILF if back in town to film some more scenes so there’s some parking and traffic restrictions.
Mix and mingle! Come on out and help the Condon Community Center, “Where Friendships Grow”! This fun event will take place at Publico on November 1st from 5pm-8pm. All proceeds will go towards educational, recreational and social programming for so many deserving youth, teens, families and seniors – essential and vital programs such as our Youth Summer MVP Sports Program, the School Age Child Care Program, Fitness and Nutrition, Homework Help, Basic Computer Training for Seniors, Toddler & Child “Learn to Swim” classes, Instructional Basketball, Skills & Drills, Adult Water Aerobics, “Run the World” Girls Group, the Condon Lobsters Swim Team, St. Vincent’s CYO, Men’s Hockey, various structured sports leagues that run seasonally, “Books, Cooks, & Hooks program and many more!
