Be informed. Get involved. There are lots of community meetings this week! It’s important to be a part of it all! Sail Boston will be hosting two community meetings re: the return of the Tall Ships. The first meeting will take place on Monday, June 5th from 6p-8pm at the Tynan Community Center – 650 East Fourth Street. The second one will be Wednesday, June 7th from 6p,-8pm at the Condon School – 200 D Street. Also on June 7th is a Boston Edison Power Plant planning meeting at the Tynan Community Center from 6pm-8pm. BuildBPS is hosting a neighborhood workshop for South Boston schools at the Condon on Thursday June 8th at 5:30pm. Phew! Action packed week when it comes to #Southie civics!

Back in season! The South Boston Farmers Market opens on Monday, June 5th from 12pm-6pm! Get some early spring vegetables, such as asparagus, lettuce, herbs as well as potted flowers, from our returning Massachusetts based Freitas’ & Wenger’s Farms. Try local and fresh meat, like grass-fed beef and naturally raised pork from Shamrock Hives Farm this season! There will also be special events and promotions for the opening celebration for a full rundown visit here! 

It’s all about balance! Brunches of Boston and C2 are joining forces to bring you Brunch Fit on Saturday, June 10th from 12pm-3pm. Carolyn Stuart from c2 will lead a 45 minute Beatbarre class using multiple props such as balls, bands and small weights that will lift and tone your butt, define and strengthen your thighs, and tone and sculpt your arms and core. Immediately following the workout we’ll make our way down to STATS where you can choose any meal you want from a special Brunch Fit menu, sip on a complimentary mimosa! Tickets are $39 and can be purchased here! 

Remembering Dodo! A special rededication of the South Boston Collaborative Center in Joe “Dodo” Nee’s name will take place on Tuesday, June 6th at 6pm with the officially ceremony at the collaborate center at 1226A Columbia road with a reception immediately following at the Lawn on D. Let’s Go Crazy!   The Supper Club at Capo is celebrating Price’s birthday on Wednesday, June 7th with a special night dedicated to the music legend, featuring tribute band LoVeSeXy. Guests can dance and sing along with Prince hits spanning his entire career. The bar team at Capo will be mixing up cocktails so guests can toast to Prince in the downstairs Supper Club all night long. June 7 kicks off Wednesday evening live music in the Supper Club at Capo, now featuring performances from top local bands and DJs Wednesday – Saturday evenings.

      It’s been closed for a while and no, no other location has opened.
