Cheers to the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio!  Lincoln Tavern is getting in the spirit with a special Olympic inspired cocktail!  To celebrate Michael Phelps coming out of retirement, Lincoln is mixing up a Phelps-inspired Butterfly Effect cocktail ($10), in honor of his famous race. Family fun!  Reserve your spot for one of the 6 FREE All Access Boston Harbor trips to Spectacle Island for kids and families this August.  Save the Harbor/Save the Bay wants you to enjoy the Boston Harbor Islands State and National Parks with a trip to Spectacle Island!  These free island adventures will take place on August 16, 17, and 18, and again on August 23, 24, and 25 aboard Bay State Cruise Company’s Provincetown II, which boards at 10:15 for a 10:30 departure from the World Trade Center dock and returns at 3:00.  To reserve space for your free trip to Spectacle Island, please send your name, contact number, the day you plan to join us and the number of spaces you would like to reserve to [email protected] . Be informed.  Get involved.  Massport is hosting a community meeting on Monday, August 8th at 6pm at the Tynan Community Center – 650 East Fourth Street.  Massport will present an overview of the South Boston Waterfront Transportation Center Project which includes a 9-level parking structure with approximately 1500 parking spaces,  bicycle amenities, electric vehicle charging station, more.

On Wednesday, August 10th, Redgate invites the South Boston Community to an open house and meeting about the redevelopment of the old Edison power station.  This meeting will take place at the Tynan Community Center at 6:30pm.
