Prepare for Southie’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade!

Caught in Southie brings you all that is hip and happening this St. Patrick’s Day season, this week and leading up to St. Patrick’s Day weekend.  We’ve got suggestions on what to wear, where to watch the parade, tips on entertaining, where to eat corned beef and cabbage, where to catch some live Irish music and the best bars to enjoy a cold beverage.  The St. Patrick’s Day guide will be updated daily so keep checking back for updates.  The St. Patrick’s Day parade is Sunday, March 17th at 1 pm and you can Check out the guide here! 

Wearing’ O’ the Green!

Caught in Southie is hosting a St. Patrick’s Day Swag pop up on Monday, March 9th from 2pm-6pm in front of Deirfiur.  There will be green hoodies, t-shirts, beanies and bandanas!  Stop by! Dorchester Brewing Co St. Patrick’s Throwdown

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day as the Irish intended -with a full day of drinking great beer.  This year Dorchester Brewing Co is making it a full weekend celebration on Saturday and Sunday! Enjoy fresh beer, live music, Irish Step Dancers, traditional food and more. If you haven’t checked out the newly expanded space with the 4-season Rooftop Hopservatory, now is the perfect time. They’ll be tapping a fresh batch of our Savin Stout to drink as the Irish do. St. Patrick’s Day Road Race

St. Patrick’s Day Rad Road Race! Established 1940.  Festive and healthy and spirited 5K Road Race starts and ends at Edgerley Family South Boston Boys & Girls Club, corner of F and West Sixth Street.  All proceeds benefit South Boston Boys & Girls Club.  First 650 to register receive Official Race Shirt, designed by Dropkick Murphys!  Limited number of limited editions shirts on sale race weekend March 15th – 11 AM Start.  Rad Youth Rock-Pop Band the Harmaniacs to perform before the start at 10:20. Register here!

The Last 1980’s Apres Ski Party of the Season at the Lodge at Publico

The Lodge at Publico is turning back the clock for a 1980’s Aprés Ski Party! Guests are encouraged to dress in their best 80’s inspired ski looks and enjoy a night of retro ski themed movies on the projector, endless 80’s hits, cocktail tastings courtesy of Keel Vodka, raffles like custom skis and Publico gift cards and, of course, an ice luge to pair alongside The Lodge’s signature shot-skis.  The fun takes place on Friday, March 13th at 8:30pm.  You can RSVP here!

Sushi Making Classes at Fat Baby! On Tuesday, March 10th, Saturday, March 21st, Saturday, April 11th, and Tuesday, April 21st.  head to Fat Baby for some sushi making!  Select from one of these sessions to learn the necessary skills to make sushi rolls. Fat Baby will cover the basics of rice preparation, rolling techniques, knife work and more. You will make two maki rolls along with a cocktail demonstration. Be sure to hang out at the bar after and enjoy your creations! Tickets are $60 (plus fees) and include all equipment and ingredients, bamboo rolling mat, one specialty cocktail and a selection of assorted light snacks.  You can order you tickets here!This event is 21+ with a valid ID.
