In April 2018 Secretary Beaton approved the Downtown Boston Municipal Harbor Plan (MHP). The Secretary’s decision requires that the BPDA modify existing zoning to reflect the approved MHP. The BPDA reviewed and updated a draft zoning amendment for consistency with the MHP. The draft zoning amendments to Article 42A—Harbor Park District is available on the BPDA website for review and comments through September 4, 2019. The BPDA will host a public meeting on August 12, 2019, from 6:30–8:00 pm for community members to learn more about the draft zoning amendments to Article 42A.  You can learn more here! 

Olliepalooza

It’s Olliepalooza! This fun-filled community event is perfect for all ages and takes place on Wednesday, August 14th from 3pm-7pm at Moakely Park! Featuring family/team games, story circles, face painting & crafts, food & refreshments, music dancing and more!  This event is brought to you by the South Boston Neighborhood House

Save the Date – Keep it clean and help the kids!

The Broadway is hosting another beach clean up – this time it’s Carson Beach.  Meet at 6pm on Tuesday, August 20th at the K Street area of Carson beach to get it cleaned up for the last few weeks of summer!  For this cleanup, The Broadway has partnered up with Reebok.  The first 10 kids to help out with get fresh new kicks from Reebok.  All other participants will get some back to school supplies.  Post cleanup, head back to The Broadway for a little mixer!  There will be corn hole, games and giveaways too!
