Save the Dates- 776 Summer Street

Boston Planning and Development Agency will be hosting two virtual community meetings on Tuesday, July 26th and Wednesday, August 3rd to discuss the redevelopment of 776 Summer Street. The purpose of the meetings is to discuss the Project Notification Form (PNF) and Planned Development Area (PDA). The meeting will include a presentation followed by Q&A and comments from the general public. The Phase 1 Project will be located on 8.4 acres / 364,409 square feet within the approximately 15.2 acre (approximately 661,500 square foot) parcel of land known as and numbered 776 Summer Street in South Boston. The Phase 1 Project includes the rehabilitation of the Edison Turbine Halls 1, 2, and 3 and the construction of the buildings on Blocks D and F. Please note, the two meetings will cover the same presentation and are intended to allow maximum attendance. You can register for the July 26th meeting here and the August 3rd meeting here. 

Register for the Boston Triathlon – Kids can participate too!

The Boston Triathlon returns!  On July 23rd-24th the Columbia Threadneedle Investments Boston Triathlon returns to DCR Carson Beach, featuring a weekend of events, open to all! There is a race for everyone at this year’s Boston Tri. On July 24th, the event will feature two main races:  The Olympic Race begins at 6:45 am and is a 1.5K swim, 35K bike, and 10K run. The Sprint Race starts at 9:15 a.m. and features a 750m swim, 17.5K bike, and 3K run.  What if you love to run, but hate to bike and swim? Grab two friends and sign up as a Relay Team!  Or encourage your friends, family or colleagues to join the fun by signing up for the Annual Team Challenge, a great way to experience the Sprint race from start to finish while participating in some friendly competition. Boston ParkARTS Outdoor Concert

Enjoy a free outdoor concert on Monday, July 18th with the Soul City Band at Medal of Honor Park at 7pm. Bring a chair or blanket!
