5 Things You Should Know This Week – July 2nd

Tuesday Trash Pick Up Delayed

Due to the Fourth of July holiday, if your trash day is Tuesday, trash will be picked up on Wednesday this week. Please plan accordingly. Here’s a little refresher on trash etiquette for you to read! 

Ribbon Cutting at the Curley Community Center 

Mayor Michelle Wu will join local elected officials and South Boston residents to officially reopen the BCYF Curley Community Center, located at 1663 Columbia Road in South Boston, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, July 7, at 10:00 a.m. The center underwent a $31.2 million renovation. The facility recently opened for free community tours of the newly renovated space and began limited programming on June 15. All are invited to the celebration. You can read more about this here! 

BPD Public Safety Reminders

The Boston Police Department wants all adults and children in the City to have an enjoyable summer! Here are a few reminders to make the rest of the summer safe and more enjoyable for all! Check them out here!
