Where’s the Beef? A meat shortage may be on our horizon.

If you eat meat, listen up! We may face potential shortages due to the fact that many processing plants have been hot spots for COVID-19. Over 5,000 meet and food processing employees have been exposed or infected to the virus. Dozens of plants have shut down and we could see meat shortages in grocery stores as soon as the end of the week.
What does that mean?
On Tuesday, President Trump invoked the Defense Production Act to require these plants to keep doing their thing and protect the supply chains. Unions and workers are worried about safety during this pandemic times. The White House administration has created new guidelines to help keep workers safe. The administration also stated they would side with the companies if they follow safety guidelines if workers bring lawsuits against them for exposing them to the virus.
