Update: The Stolen Pitcher from Mother’s East has been Returned!

UPDATE: The person who stole the pitcher has returned it. The online attention clearly shamed him into it. Mother’s posted the following message on Instagram:

Here the pitcher is back where it belongs, complete with some fresh flowers. Hmmmm…now how long before some steals that lighthouse?

Not again! Mother’s East Tavern in South Boston is dealing with another theft, and this time, a beautiful Polish pitcher is missing.
According to the owners, they found the pitcher 12 years ago in San Francisco, making it a special piece with plenty of sentimental value.
After reviewing surveillance footage, the owners say they’ve identified the person who took it. They’re asking for the pitcher to be returned. Look at the photo below – do you recognize this person?

Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time Mother’s East has dealt with something like this. Just recently, a vintage Paul Masson wine advertisement featuring Orson Welles was stolen from the restaurant.
This is why we can’t have nice things! People, please respect our small business community. As always, nobody likes a jerk.
In the meantime, stop by Mother’s East and show them some love by ordering a few cocktails and some food.

Shame on them, I can’t stand a liar or thief. Post their pictures for all to see.
Joe and I love that place. The food is excellent, and the owners and staff are the nicest people. Also, the drinks are good. This is horrible – please give the pitcher back.
Agreed.
Well maybe an alarm system is needed. not just cameras. An alarm system hooked up to the police station and fire station possibly could solve the problem. The alarm will go off & the police will show up within a few minutes, and if fire, the fire fighters will also show up within a few minutes.
It happens while they are open!
may be it was his anniversary and he said honey i bought you a vase in this warped world we live in nothing surprizes me
