Artwork Stolen from Mother’s East in South Boston

It’s all fun and games until someone steals the artwork.
It happens a lot in the neighborhood. A slightly buzzed customer feels the need to steal something from a restaurant. Salt shakers. A special cocktail glass. And arwork literally hanging on the wall. Petula’s has fallen victim. McGonagle’s in Dorchester. And now Southie’s new favorite tavern, Mother’s East.
The owners recently posted the following message on social media:

The artwork in question features a beloved vintage Paul Masson wine advertisement featuring Orson Welles that was taken from the business Saturday night.

The framed ad (on the left) had been hanging on the wall alongside another vintage Orson Welles Paul Masson piece. According to Mother’s East, more than a dozen cameras cover the property, and they’re currently reviewing footage from the night. So your days are numbered. Do the right thing and return it. You don’t want your face all over social media in the act, do you?
It’s not easy owning a small business and doing stuff like stealing artwork is a big pain in the ass to deal with. So, don’t do it.
And this is a good time to remind everyone: nobody likes a jerk.
