Southie represented on NBA Playoff Broadcast
The neighborhood made an appearance on Friday night’s broadcast of Game 6 of the NBA Conference Finals – Celtics vs. the Heat. One fan in the crowd was caught on camera holding up the sign above.
“This is Southie not South Beach”
Is it the best sign in the world? Not really – technically the Garden is not in South Boston but…close enough, right?
And M Street Beach is considered the South Beach of Southie so there’s that.
Anyway, Southie went national with the sign so we will give credit where credit is due!
Sadly, Game 6 did not workout for the Celtics. The Heat beat them with a score of 111 to 103. There will be a Game 7 on Sunday at 8:30pm. Let’s Go Celtics!
