Southie making the front page of the Wall Street Journal with this awesome photo
This year’s L Street Brownies Polar Plunge was a particularly successful one! Several thousands of people dared to take a dip in Boston Harbor at M Street Beach (according to the Globe, over 3500!). Thousands of dollars were raised for charities, and crowds continue to celebrate the plunge at local bars and restaurants supporting small businesses. Plus, a local photographer – Joseph Prezioso/AFP, captured this amazing photo, and it made the front page of the Wall Street Journal.
“Scored the front page of the Wall Street Journal with this pic today!” Prezioso posted on Instagram!
The photo captured the spirit of the day! Way to go!

This is not the first time South Boston has made headlines in the Wall Street Journal. Remember this?

Mayor Wu kept the L Street / Curley Center closed for this time honored event. Neighborhood “Yutes” seem to relish in the traditional New Year plunge. Mayor Wu continues her neighborhood elitism. Boston needs a new Mayor who embraces citizens of all colors. Even pasty, white caucasians in January!
