You better hide your kids. Hide your dogs! Hide your cats! Word is the Southie Coyote is back in town. Or at least he’s been spotted numerous times this past week – mainly along Day Boulevard near the beaches – M Street, Carson and even Pleasure Bay near the Murphy Rink. On Monday – early evening – he was in the area of at P and First and near M Street Beach. So beware.
Coyotes are no strangers to Southie. They’ve been spotted numerous times in the past around town. Apparently they come to the neighborhood for the Canada Geese and the lively nightlife.
Police warn people to beware – coyotes can be aggressive and like to eat pets – so keep them inside. Animal control will be in the area trying to find the Southie Coyote.
A twitter handle has been created if you want to follow him.
