South Boston Officers Arrest Suspect for Drug Trafficking

At about 7:50 PM, on Monday, March 3, 2025, officers assigned to District C-6 (South Boston) arrested Alixon Romero Roa, 37, of Boston, for drug trafficking.

Officers were on foot patrol in the area of 419 Old Colony Avenue to address community complaints of drug activity and quality of life issues. Officers were walking the hallways of the building, and observed a male loitering outside of an apartment. Once the individual noticed officers, he quickly entered an apartment.

Officers returned to their vehicle to answer a radio call. After the call, officers returned back to 419 Old Colony Avenue and observed the earlier male individual outside of the address. Upon seeing officers, the suspect broke out into a full sprint inside of the building.

A foot pursuit ensued, and officers were able to stop the suspect in the hallway of the building. Officers retraced the flight path of the suspect, and recovered two plastic bags of drugs. One plastic bag contained approximately sixteen grams of Fentanyl, and the other bag contained an unknown amount of Crack Cocaine. Officers searched the suspect and also recovered $950 in U.S. currency.

Romero Roa was placed under arrest and charged with Trafficking of Class A, and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B. He is expected to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court.
