South Boston Drug Control Unit Arrests Roslindale Man on Fentanyl Trafficking and Distribution Charges

Officers assigned to the District C-6 (South Boston) Drug Control Unit, with the assistance of the D-14 (Brighton/Allston) Drug Control Unit and detectives assigned to the DEA Fugitive Investigation Task Group, arrested a Roslindale man on Wednesday, April 23, 2026, following the conclusion of a month-long drug trafficking investigation.
Investigators determined that Clevan Richards, 46, was dealing fentanyl, crack cocaine, and cocaine in the areas of Nubian Square, Grove Hall, and Massachusetts Avenue and Melnea Cass Boulevard. Further investigation led officers to Richards’ residence at 865 American Legion Highway in Roslindale.
Officers executed court-authorized search warrants for Richards’ person, his residence, and his motor vehicle. Officers conducted surveillance and initiated a traffic stop on Richards as he departed his residence.
