Good Lord!
Imagine waking up and finding a barrel in front of your home filled with rats and cigarette butts. Sounds like the makings of a nightmare but one M Street resident found exactly that.
Maybe it’s some sort of “warning” from one neighbor to another? Maybe the rats are smokers? Who knows. But a 311 report was made and the City of Boston Department of Public Works came and removed it. Thank God!
We still have many questions. Where are the rats coming from? Why were some of the rats dead and some still alive? Were they poisoned. What sort of sick sonovabitch leaves a barrel like that for a neighbor to find?
Southie Shoutout to the the brave and hard working DPW workers!
