The Brothers Leader
Talk about setting back Southie by thirty years. You may recall that last August, after attending a Red Sox game on Scott Leader, 38 and his younger brother Steve Leader, 30 from South Boston decided to pee on a homeless guy and then beat the shit out of him with a metal pole at JFK Station in Dorchester. The reason for this unprovoked attack? Apparently they were sick of “illegal immigrants” and inspired by a speech by GOP party front runner Donald Trump. The homeless man is Hispanic. These two jabronis were just sentenced on Monday. The two pleaded guilty to a list of charges including: assault and battery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery for the purpose of intimidation because of national origin, open and gross lewdness, indecent exposure, disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, and threatening to commit a crime. Scott Leader received a three-year sentence, while Steve Leader was sentenced to 18 months in jail. Both men will serve three years’ probation following their prison sentences.
As to Donald Trump’s reaction when asked about the incident back in August, Trump stated, “I will say, the people that are following me are very passionate. They love this country. They want this country to be great again. But they are very passionate. I will say that.”
Passionate enough to pick up a metal pole and beat a homeless guy passionate. Talk about an understatement.

Should you really be blaming Donald Trump or are they acting like the Black Lives Matter activists? Give me a break. Also, get over the so called "racist" label that was put on the people of South Boston. That was well over 30 years ago.
So it is Trump's fault that these 2 idiots beat up an hispanic man. I can you mentioning it in the story as that was allegedley their excuse but to mention it a second time is hack journalism.
Blame Trump?? These two knuckle heads said they were "inspired by Trump's speech" verbatim, how is the author blaming Trump? Also, is it not racist to target someone, urinate and beat them up because you are unhappy about illegal immigration? How do we know this gentlemen is an illegal immigrant? His ethnicity is the only discerning characteristic that could trigger such a reaction. They didn't label him an illegal immigrant because he was homeless, right?? It is MORE than legitiment to assert that these idiots set Southie back, because they also set America and society back MORE than 30 years. Under no circumstance can anyone justify urinating and beating someone random up because you're angry about an issue.
If they live in Southie, WHY are they getting off at JFK????
What does Trump have to do with it? Should we blame Hilary for every internet hacker? How about blaming Bill for every cheater caught on Ashley Madison? How about blamin Louis Farrakan for every Muslim attack on U.S. soil? Wait! I know! Jail the "Reverend of lies" Al Sharpton for every tax evader and Black Lives Matter criminal. Charge Al for every broken window! Yeah, that's the ticket!
Equating these jerks to the Black Lives Matter movement shows that we still have a long way to go.
well said about the part setting southie back another 30 years. the townies are hopeless
What these two drunken idiots did is obviously wrong and they should be punished for it but for God's sake stop trying to demonize Trump for it. If you actually follow what Trump says about the illegal immigration issue from Mexico it is 100% correct. We have to be a nation of laws and stop the flow of ILLEGAL immigration into this country. It isn't even fair to the illegal immigrant either as they become part of a caste system. That is not what this country was built on. Immigration reform is needed but the longer our politicians turn a blind eye to Mexico exporting their poverty and 3rd world problems to America the longer we are going to see acts like this. By the way here are some other Trump comments on Mexicican immigrants:
"Many fabulous people come in from Mexico and our country is better for it. But these people are here legally, and are severely hurt by those coming in illegally," wrote Trump. "I am proud to say that I know many hard working Mexicans—many of them are working for and with me…and, just like our country, my organization is better for it."
