Police pursuit ends with car in a building at L + Broadway

Nothing says the holidays like an old-fashioned hot pursuit in the neighborhood!
On Thursday night around 11 pm, State Troopers arrested a Quincy man after he crashed a car into a building at L and Broadway after fleeing a traffic stop.
According to NBC10 Boston, a trooper saw a blue Mercedes sedan run a red light at the intersection of Frontage Road and the Mass. Avenue Connector at about 10:30pm. When the emergency lights on the cruiser were turned on, the driver then fled the scene. That driver was later identified as 21-year-old Cedric Fortune.
After crashing into the building at L and Broadway, Fortune fled on foot and was later arrested near East 3rd Street. At least one passenger who was in the car is still on the run. Fortune faces several motor vehicle charges, including negligent operation of a motor vehicle, operating after license suspension, failure to stop for police, and speeding.
The suspect is expected to be arraigned in South Boston District Court on Friday.
