UPDATE: Two suspects in custody after massive police chase in South Boston – State Police release identities

Here’s an update regarding: police chase in South Boston on Monday night that led to two suspects in custody via Boston25 News:
The driver, 23-year-old Kailyn Almeida, of Bridgewater, is charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, failure to stop for police, malicious destruction of property over $1200 (struck a Boston police cruiser with the vehicle she was driving), speeding, marked lanes violation, leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash with property damage, and trespassing with a vehicle, according to Massachusetts State Police.
A passenger in Almeida’s 2023 GMC Acadia, Christopher A. Meade, 30, of Malden, is facing charges including warrants, possession of a Class B substance, possession with intent to distribute a Class B substance, unlawful possession of ammunition, unlawful possession/carrying of a firearm, commission of a firearm violation after three prior violent or drug offenses, and possession of a large-capacity firearm or feeding device.

NBC10 Boston is reporting that BPD was assisting the Massachusetts State Police after a vehicle fled the scene on Monday night around 10:30pm. The chase ended in South Boston on West First Street with two suspects in custody.
According to Live Boston, the pursuit even went around Castle Island before ending on First Street. Live Boston also reported the suspect may have been involved in an earlier shooting. The shooting took place in Roxbury last week, and the suspect may have also been involved in an incident in the South Shore, according to Universal Hub.
A Boston police cruiser was hit during the incident.
