Neighbors band together to support front line workers and keep them “Seaport Strong.”

On Wednesday, 325 custom “Seaport Strong” masks will be donated to front-line grocery and delivery workers in the Seaport neighborhood of South Boston. They will be delivered to Trader Joe’s on Thomason Place. Another round of masks are planned to be delivered in the next few weeks.
This grassroots neighborhood initiative was launched by resident Katie McCabe who conceived of the custom Seaport Strong masks. She recruited her neighbors and friends and they are soliciting donations from more area residents and businesses in an effort to unify the Seaport neighborhood. Their goal is to provide at least one washable, reusable and comfortable mask that reads “Seaport Strong” to all of the essential workers in the Seaport (restaurants, stores, first responders, and building employees) that are keeping the neighborhood fed, supplied, and protected during this pandemic. Everyone who donates will receive a mask as well.

All donations go directly to creating and distributing masks which the group aims to supply for all front-line workers in the Seaport – and possibly beyond. For more information, reach out to [email protected], or visit their facebook page, or Instagram.
