Medal of Honor Park: The never-ending project
What is going on?
It’s been nearly two months since the ribbon cutting ceremony at Medal of Honor Park to celebrate the renovations done at M Street Park. At the ceremony it was acknowledge the park wasn’t complete but it would be finished within a few weeks. Now as August draws to a close, work trucks are still idle, a construction fence is still in place and some residents are taking to 311 to ask, “what the hell is going on?”
The City of Boston did respond by stating that there are still some “punch list” items that need to be completed but the contractor will no longer be on site daily (where they ever on site daily?) and once the punch list is completed the other sections will be turned over to the Parks Department.
They also encouraged people with concerns, complaints and questions to reach out to the project manager. So we encourage residents to do so. Her name is Michele Folts – her number is 617-961-3025. You an also reach her by email at [email protected].
